Friends of the Cleveland Public Schools: AWARDED $187,000.00 FOR GARDEN EDUCATION AND AGRICULTURAL SCIENCE PROGRAMMING AT Cleveland Central Middle School.
This substantial award is part of a comprehensive wellness-focused program at CCMS. The in-school and afterschool garden and ag-science program will focus on plant-based science, agriculture research, and garden-to-table nutrition education. The garden club, coordinated by award-winning science teacher, Tammie Hodnett Marlow, will be the principal group assisting to develop and utilize the planned expansive raised bed gardens, greenhouses, and school orchard.
We thank the Bolivar Medical Center Foundation for the significant financial contribution that will positively impact the health and wellness of our public school children.
